DAN MORRELL has written for The New York Times, Slate, Boston magazine, Fast Company, and the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine. As a researcher, he has fact-checked two books: “Horsemen of the Esophagus: Competitive Eating and the Big Fat American Dream” by Jason Fagone (Crown, June 2006) and “The Sushi Economy: Globalization and the Making of a Modern Delicacy” by Sasha Issenberg (Gotham, May 2007).

He has covered everything from light-stopping physics and political warfare to yoga-trained bowlers and internet pirates. He currently lives in the Boston region and is a contributing editor for Boston magazine.

His past editorial experience includes a senior editor position at The Penn Stater, Penn State’s award-winning alumni magazine. He graduated first in his class from Temple University’s Master of Journalism program in 2004 and is a 2000 graduate of Villanova University.
